What It Means To Rejoice In a New Day

During trials and tribulations it may seem that we just want the day to be over with. Or you don’t even want the day to start. You may seem to think that way even when life goes according to plan. God called us to rejoice in a new day, because He made it!

Thinking like that is not how God wants us to think. He wants us to be positive and excited for the day. Why be excited for just another ordinary day? It is a new day, which means a new day that God can do miracles. You can be excited to see what God do during the course of the day.

This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it – Ps 118:24 (AMP)

God spared us for another day, which means that He still needs us on earth. He still wants to use us on earth for His glory and His kingdom. That is why we need to rejoice. We still have work!

Experiencing a new day with the sun shining, birds chirping and a new wind blowing is just wonderful to me. It makes you grateful for the little things in life.

To rejoice in a new day means to be grateful for a new day even in trials and difficult times. The Word of God helps us so much. If you are discouraged for the day and you are afraid for what it might bring upon your life just remember that God is on your side.

Below are a few biblical scriptures to help you be encouraged:

God will never leave you nor forsake you (Heb 13:5).

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Phil 4:4)

So, held your head high, look to the heavens and trust in God!
