Your Words Can Speak Life

Many many people do not know or understand how their words can and will affect their lives. Your words can speak life or death! It is very important to watch what you say.

For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command – Ps 33:9 (NLT)

God spoke the earth into existence and He has made that same power available to us. What you speak, you create.

What have you been talking about?

Was your words positive and uplifting or was it negative?

It so happens that whatever you hear, you believe. So, what you speak you also believe. For me, believing is an important part in speaking. There are many many scriptures where we can see/experience how it all works together. How many times have Jesus declared to the sick that they WILL be healed. He created their health with His words. And believing also plays a big role in creating.

Say what you want in life! Speak whatever it is that you want into existence. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to say it out loud. Repeat it until you have it.

45 The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the[intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart — Luke 6:45

Learning to speak positive and uplifting words will help in the hardships. I can hardly think that when you do speak negative things you feel better. If you are struggling with your mouth, go to the Word and study in that area. The best teacher is Jesus. He will help you!

25 Instead, after hearing about Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came and fell at His feet. 26 Now the woman was a Gentile (Greek), a Syrophoenician by nationality. And she kept pleading with Him to drive the demon out of her daughter. 27 He was saying to her, “First let the children [of Israel] be fed, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the pet dogs (non-Jews).” 28 But she replied, “Yes, Lord, but even the pet dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” 29 And He said to her, “Because of this answer [reflecting your humility and faith], go [knowing that your request is granted]; the demon has left your daughter[permanently].” 30 And returning to her home, she found the child lying on the couch [relaxed and resting], the demon having gone – Mark 7:25 – 30 (AMP)

You see, Jesus spoke it and it happened.

There is power in our words. We create with our mouths. Watch what you say and how you say it. You might be creating your future.

God’s Endless Love For Us – Part 2

In part 1 I focused on God’s love for us. Today I want to focus on our love for others as well as ourselves. You see, we can love because He first loved us.

God wants us to stand as one in Christ. We need love to do that. The world has fallen into a pit of selfishness. People tend to think only about themselves and not about other people and how they can help them.

The Word of God clearly states that we ought to love others as God has loved us. There is nothing confusing about that.

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God – 1 John 4:7

Personally, I believe that in order to be able to love others we need a revelation of God’s love towards us. How can we extend love to others if we haven’t received love from the One Who I-S love? We can’t! The Holy Spirit within us is there to help us, with everything! He can help us to love other people and show compassion if we let Him.

Then God also said that we need to love ourselves. You can choose what you believe.  Do not believe what others say about you. Believe what God says about you! You are His child and He loves and cares for you.

When we know who we are in Christ, we can see ourselves the way that God sees and loves us. We are so much more in God’s eyes that we could ever imagine. Start loving yourself the way that God loves you.

We can do much more together as one in Christ Jesus! Love everyone!

God’s Endless Love For Us – Part 1

I’ve started this series because I think that people don’t talk enough about God’s love. The love for God and for people in this world is not there anymore. We ought to be the hands and feet of Jesus on earth, that includes loving God and His people.

Firstly I want to start with saying that nobody can love us the way God loves us. There is no measure to His love. He loves us so much that He calls us His own (sinful people) and we can love others because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).

What are the biggest commandment?

The biggest commandment is to Love God. Loving God involves loving His Word and His way. Secondly, love your neighbour as you love yourself. Lastly, love yourself!

Matthew 22:36 – 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ 40 The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

God is pouring His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Rom 5:5). God’s love knows no end. He is L-O-V-E! God loves us all. I’ve started reading Without Rival (Lisa Bevere) and I absolutely love one of her statements – “God doesn’t love us equally, He loves us uniquely”. Rest assured, He loves Y-O-U!

16 “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He[even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life – John 3:16 (AMP)

At the end, it all starts and ends with love. Love is everything. God IS love!

What It Means To Be a Prayer Warrior

As Christians we NEED to pray! There are many Christians today that don’t realise how vital prayer is. Then, we get people who overthink prayer. They make it a super spiritual and legalistic thing when it is not. Prayer is simply talking to God.

We can talk to God about anything and everything. It is such a blessing for me to be able to have a relationship with God. Without prayer there is very little we can do. It is also very important to believe while you pray. Believe that you have already received what you asked for and that you already healed. Sooner or later you will be healed! You will be restored. All you have to do is just B-E-L-I-E-V-E!

We are made righteous through Jesus Christ, our salvation. We can have a relationship with God because of Jesus. When Jesus died the terrible death on the cross, the curtain was torn in two from top to bottom. That happened so that we could have a relationship with God.

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you – Matthew 7:7

We can go to God in prayer because we are made right with God through Jesus. God hears our prayers and He said that our prayers will never return void. God also said we should pray about everything! Philippians 4:6 explains what it means to be a prayer warrior.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

As Christians we need to rise up and pray like never before. The world needs prayer now! Not tomorrow, not in a week’s time, NOW!

Pray for everyone and everything, even your enemies! When you don’t know how or what to pray, pray like this:

The Lord’s Prayer

“Pray, then, in this way:

10 ‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come,
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread.

12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors[letting go of both the wrong and the resentment].

13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen – Matthew 6:9-13

Don’t make a mistake by over thinking prayer. Just talk to God, He wants to hear from you!

What It Means To Rejoice In a New Day

During trials and tribulations it may seem that we just want the day to be over with. Or you don’t even want the day to start. You may seem to think that way even when life goes according to plan. God called us to rejoice in a new day, because He made it!

Thinking like that is not how God wants us to think. He wants us to be positive and excited for the day. Why be excited for just another ordinary day? It is a new day, which means a new day that God can do miracles. You can be excited to see what God do during the course of the day.

This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it – Ps 118:24 (AMP)

God spared us for another day, which means that He still needs us on earth. He still wants to use us on earth for His glory and His kingdom. That is why we need to rejoice. We still have work!

Experiencing a new day with the sun shining, birds chirping and a new wind blowing is just wonderful to me. It makes you grateful for the little things in life.

To rejoice in a new day means to be grateful for a new day even in trials and difficult times. The Word of God helps us so much. If you are discouraged for the day and you are afraid for what it might bring upon your life just remember that God is on your side.

Below are a few biblical scriptures to help you be encouraged:

God will never leave you nor forsake you (Heb 13:5).

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Phil 4:4)

So, held your head high, look to the heavens and trust in God!

Having An Intimate Relationship With Jesus

As humans there is a hole in our inner beings, our souls which cannot be filled with things or even people. Nothing and no one would be able to fill that “hole” within us except Jesus. One of the best relationships we can have in life is a relationship with Jesus. He understands us better than anyone else.

Jesus has got everything that we need and He will definitely fill that hole that I am talking about it.

As humans we try to fill our holes with earthly things like alcohol, drugs, hobbies etc. We all long for just that something. Knowing what that is that we are longing for is most of the time a puzzle to the human mind. Jesus wants to have an intimate relationship with you! Only Jesus could fill up that hole. Only Jesus!

We are fooling ourselves trying to do life without Jesus and His grace. There is absolutely nothing that can separate you from His love. The sooner we realise that we need Jesus the sooner He can start working in our lives.

Jesus paid it all JUST so that we could have a relationship with Him! He died for all knowing that some people might never have a relationship with Him, yet He still died for EVERYONE! Invite Him in your everyday life. He doesn’t care about your life in church. Jesus cares about everything! Big or small.

Once you do life with Him and have an intimate relationship with Him you will NOT regret it.  There is no other like Jesus.  Jesus can and will satisfy our souls.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life – John 14:6

God’s Grace Shining Through Me

I’ve come to a point in my life where I have realised that I cannot do life without God. He releases His grace upon me every single day! Because of His mercy and kindness I am going to let His grace shine through me.

Every day God is pulling me closer toward Him.

God’s grace was something that I never understood. I mean I knew about His grace but I was not living in His divine grace. To understand grace can be difficult because God’s grace goes beyond our human minds.

Have you ever felt like you need to be good and do good before you will receive God’s grace?

The truth is that we can never earn God’s grace! It doesn’t matter how much we pray, read our Bibles or serve. We will never be able to earn God’s grace! We just need to receive it. God already made it available to us through Jesus Christ.

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God – Ephesians 2:8

RECEIVE God’s divine grace

We can only receive and be thankful.

We don’t deserve God’s grace and yet we still have it. You need only to receive. Personally I think that God cannot wait to release His grace upon us. The only thing stopping us from receiving God’s grace is thinking that we can earn it of which we cannot.

Because God extend His grace toward us, we can extend and show grace to others. We can bless them and show them God’s grace through our own lives.

Believe that you have already received His grace and His grace will be yours!
